The Egyptians utilized an extract for its skin-healing, nourishing, and rejuvenating properties. This extract was also utilized by the Mayans and Native Americans for similar benefits.
In 1983, the University of Santiago conducted research which demonstrated that regular application of this red fruit extract could regenerate skin, reduce scars and wrinkles, leading to a more youthful complexion.
What is this extract? Rosehip Seed
Thanks to this extract, it has the ability to help stimulate cell turnover. It also minimizes the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, it can protect the skin from environmental stressors, and has anti-inflammatory properties due to its high concentration of Vitamins C, A, and B.
Rosehip seed extract is a naturally derived oil that is easily absorbed by the skin, allowing its potent antioxidants to penetrate deeply. In addition to Vitamins C and A, Rosehip Seed Oil also contains essential fatty acids such as oleic, palmitic, linoleic, and gamma-linolenic acid which regulate the skin’s oil production, reducing breakouts and promoting a natural glow.
A 2003 study found that rosehips are a rich source of lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that protects the skin from harmful free radicals. A 2018 review of four studies showed that lycopene-rich products also protect the skin from sun damage.
After finding out the IMMENSE benefits this extract has, I knew I had to utilize in my formulas so you can experience its benefits too…This is why it’s become one of my personal favorites.
