MSM is a natural compound containing sulfur. It’s naturally found in plants and humans. MSM is a common supplement that is ingested to help relieve inflammation, ease of swollen joints, increased muscle recovery, and overall health improvement. For skin, MSM works in a couple of ways. Because the sulfur binds with keratin, this helps make your skin stronger. It can reduce skin inflammation, and redness, ease rosacea and improve elasticity. MSM can help make the skin cells more porous allowing other ingredients to penetrate deeper into the layers of your skin. Clinical studies have also shown MSM supporting collagen synthesis.

My Skincare Routine Suggestions
1. Cleanse
Start out with dry skin, damp hands and cleanse the face for one minute, this minute allows the surfactants to grab onto debris and dissolve them. Massaging in upward gentle circles and strokes stimulate circulation and lymphatic drain. Draining your lymphatic systems help to decrease inflammation and puffiness, Rinse with lukewarm water & pat dry.
2. Mist
The hydrating mist that I developed contains vegetable glycerin and hydrosol to enhance hydration. The glycerin works as a catalyst to drive the hydrosols into your skin. Hydrosols are the by-product of the distillation process when making essential oils. It’s the condensation that comes from the oil-making process. The hydrosols used are either rose or lavender.
There are benefits of these waters in that they contain polyphenols from the plants.
- Lavender Hydrosol contains some antibacterial properties and can help reduce redness and oils.
- Rose Hydrosol contains small amounts of vitamin C and can soothe irritated skin.
Both Hydrating mists, as mentioned, contain glycerin. Glycerin is a humectant that attracts water to you skin and allows for better absorption.
Spritzing a hydrating mist on before applying the Antioxidant Hydrating Cream will help keep your skin hydrated.
3. Moisturizer
My Antioxidant Hydrating Cream contains some actives such as Arnica Oil, Cranberry Seed Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil and Carrot Oil, as well as MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane). MSM has a dual purpose. It acts as a driver to allow the other ingredients to penetrate deeper into your skin. Which in turn increases the effectiveness of the ingredients. Using the moisturizer while your skin is still slightly damp from the mist allows for massive hydration.
4. Oil Serum
Follow up the moisturizer with my Daily Repair Serum will lock in the hydration and allow for the ingredients to do their job, The Daily Repair Serum contains concentrated oil such as rosehip (high in Vitamin C). The oil serum acts as occlusive trapping the water-based moisturizer benefits into your skin. This keeps your skin supple and diminishes the look of fine lines & wrinkles. The routine also helps increase the look of plumper and “glowy” skin.
